"I’m just wrapping up a piece about the history behind “Hippie Hollow”- the legendary aid station at IRONMAN Texas. Should be really cool." -- I'm behind in my emails and reads....did this drop yet? Schmitty loves IMTX. I've spectated once and raced once. And it's by far my favorite run of any Ironman or 70.3 because of the mid distance loops but mostly because of Hippy Hollow.
It was kind of a surprise, but not super surprising considering they've been doing it for decades and are all volunteers. Honestly, it's probably something IM should just source volunteers for, because it's a big draw for the race, but perhaps some younger athletes will want to take it on. Thanks!

Oh wow. I'm truly bummed that it might be coming to an end. Hopefully someone picks up the torch. Nice piece!
